Multiple VLANs
The new MPLS/VPLS protocols in the Ethernet Private Network (ePN) now permit the use of up to four multiple VLANs across the network, even to remote sites connected through third party carriers.
Priorities for each VLAN are set or can be allocated as required. This would enable (for example) VLAN 1 to be used for staff data connectivity, VLAN 2 for Internet access, VLAN 3 for public WiFi Internet access and VLAN 4 for VoIP.
Most other network providers cannot provide multiple VLAN in wide area networks, certainly not over third party carriers.
